The EasyCoder PD4 features sturdy metal chassis, covers, and print mechanics to ensure long lasting performance in industrial, demanding environments. Capable of housing an industry-standard 200-mm (8-in) roll of labels and 450 m (18,000 in) of ribbon, the EasyCoder PD4 limits downtime for loading media to a minimum. Truly versatile, it can print on a wide range of media of different thicknesses.

The EasyCoder PD4 is equipped with a movable label sensor for gaps, black marks and punched holes, and itcan utilize both ink-in and ink-out ribbon. The EasyCoder PD4 is well equipped with 2MB Flash memory and 2MB DRAM, for processing labels, storing formats, and supporting Asian fonts.

Other standard features include USB, serial and parallel interface ports, and Real-Time Clock (RTC). The EasyCoder PD4 comes standard with five resident fonts. Traditional Chinese,simplified Chinese, Japanese Kanji, Korean Hangul, and additional Windows bitmap font sets are available at no extra charge.

PrintSet™, a PC-based setup tool, makes installation and setup of the EasyCoder PD41 intuitive and easy. The one-button interface makes the printer easy to operate and well protected against unintentional changes of the setup. An open and accessible design makes media loading quick and easy, and the printhead can easily be replaced without using any tools.

The ability to use any Intermec printer language and emulate other printer protocols makes the EasyCoder PD41 both fully compatible with other Intermec equipment and a cost-effective 'drop-in' printer replacement in almost any non-Intermec firmware environment. The EasyCoder PF2i acts as a “smart client” executing user-defined programs. This means the printer eliminates the PC, operates additional hardware (e.g. scanners, other printers, conveyors), accesses information from the network, and retains the ability to change as needed with the application for additional functionality. Using Fingerprint, the EasyCoder PF2i easily adapts to changing host environments and applications. This printer grows with your business and is not restricted by manufacturer printer command languages.

There are five interface options for the EasyCoder PF2i including network and wireless options. When using the EasyLAN Wireless option, any attached peripheral devices also become part of the wireless infrastructure enabling direct access for additional equipment to the network without adding costs. The wireless interface uses an integrated standard 802.11b/g radio providing 128-bit WEP encryption of the information relayed through the network. Intermec’s wired and wireless technology ensures secure printing and network infrastructure for all environments. Each printer ships standard with a CompactFlash memory slot. This printer maximizes label printing by using a full size label roll up to 213 mm (8.4 in) to reduce media changes. The magnetic QuickMount printhead eliminates hassles and downtime. The printhead is replaced quickly and easily with the magnet and u-brackets ensuring proper alignment – no tools required.

Intermec EasyCoder® PX Series
Rugged, metal, high-performance printers designed to excel in demanding environments and support round-the-clock operations. The open, modular design ensures the printers are easy to adapt, maintain and service. The PX Series includes the PX4i and PX6i, each featuring a maximum print width of 4 or 6 inches respectively.

Designed for easy integration into manufacturing environments, the PX series printers can be mounted in virtually any position. The versatile form factor facilitates the addition of add-ons such as an automatic label applicator.

The EasyCoder PX series printers can operate as stand alone devices executing user-defined programs thereby eliminating the need for a PC. With up to seven wired and wireless connectivity interfaces, these printers can operate production line machinery, including scanners, scales, other printers and conveyor as well as access information directly from the network host.

Fully programmable and able to change with the application, the PX Series printers provide additional functionality and continued investment protection. They are not restricted by printer command languages and can communicate with and replace competitive and older Intermec printers without any changes to host programming or label format design.

The PX series printers print instantly from first to last label at up to 12 inches per second. Both versions are available with 203 or 300-dpi resolution print heads. The PX4i also offers 400-dpi resolution without any loss of speed. This is ideal for on demand and compliance labeling applications with variable data requiring immediate results.

The PX series printers are the first bar code label printer to integrate Intermec’s Readiness Indicator (IRI) light. Part of the Intermec SmartSystem™, this light provides a visual cue to the operating state of the printer. The EasyCoder PX series printers communicates with the SmartSystem Console which displays status, provides access to configuration, eases installation of new printers, and assists in identifying printer consumables that require replenishment.
