FireScan
Design, ergonomics and ease of use, together with outstanding decoding  performance and state-of-the-art software configuration capability, make FireScan™ an ideal solution for Retail, Office Automation and Light Industrial applications that require higher reading distances (over 40 cm) and a bright, welldefined scan line.

FireScan™ is based on a new empowered architecture which allows the most advanced features to be employed.

In terms of decoding, the implementation of Puzzle Solver™ technology improves reading of poorly printed or damaged codes, while the Data Editing and Data Formatting function allows scanned data to be modified prior to transfer, ensuring compatibility with the application on the host system. Furthermore, the aiming system permits easy pointing on the code at higher distances.

In addition, the in-field update capability provided by FireScan™ guarantees your investment: the laser gun firmware can be easily updated, maintaining an always “up-to-date” device.

FireScan™ is available in three models with different interface sets: the standard D131 model provides all the typical connections (USB, RS-232, Keyboard Wedge and Wand Emulation), the D111 model provides complete connectivity to main IBM 46xx cash registers and the D141 model performs undecoded reader applications (ex. connecting the reader to flatbed scanners). In addition, FireScan™ reads GS1 DataBar™ (RSS), a newer symbology that can be printed on a smaller label, which meets emerging market needs for a greater amount of data on a symbol.

Gryphon
Datalogic Scanning now provides 2D reading with its top Handheld reader, the  Gryphon™. The Gryphon D432 performs “omnidirectional” reading on a wide range of symbologies from the most common 1D and 2D codes to stacked and postal codes, improving productivity and efficiency in a wide range of applications.

In fact, with the Gryphon™ 2D, the user captures the whole image of the object to be identified no matter how it is orientated, thus avoiding any alignment constraint between the reader and the symbol to be read. Furthermore, the Gryphon™ 2D can be used for “image-based” applications such as signature capture and OCR.

The software selectable “green spot” feature, (Datalogic Scanning patent application) produced by the Gryphon™ provides “good reading” feedback directly on the code, where the user usually tends to be looking.

The Gryphon D432 is provided in standard and high resolution models and is equipped with a multi-standard interface for connection to the host via USB (COM and Wedge Emulation), RS-232 or Wedge Emulation.

The Gryphon™ D432 operates at 5 V, eliminating the need of an external power supply. It is also provided with a five year warranty. This, along with Gryphon’s™ well-known reliability guarantees the customer’s investment now and in the future.

The Gryphon D432 supports VisualSetup™ which permits easy configuration of all the parameters to personalize the reader for any application through a RS-232 or USB interface, as well as providing a quick view of the downloaded images.

Heron
The Heron™ has been developed by Datalogic Scanning in order to satisfy all  requirements at the POS, providing high performance and innovative design suitable for small retail POS applications.

The Heron™, based on the “INSTINCTIVE READING DISTANCE” concept (from near contact to over 20 cm), includes the “green spot” (Datalogic Scanning patent application), which provides “good reading” feedback directly on the code, where the user usually tends to be looking.

The stand included in the package allows the reader to be used in hands-free mode. If placed correctly in the stand, the reader beeps and automatically switches to hands-free mode.

The green spot remains on to show the operator where to position the code under the Heron™ for quick and intuitive reading. As a result, Heron™ is effective as a handheld reader and presentation scanner.

The Heron™ also provides full connectivity. Three models are available with different interface sets: the standard D130 multi-interface model (RS-232, USB, Wedge & Wand Emulation), which also comes in a black version; the D110 model, providing complete connectivity to main IBM cash registers and POS terminals; and the D140 model, which performs undecoded reader applications.

The Heron™ D150 EAS is the latest addition, providing an integrated EAS antenna and special EAS cables, for ease of connection and compatibility with Nedap and Checkpoint EAS systems, guaranteeing EAS tag deactivation and barcode reading in one smooth motion. In addition, Heron™ reads GS1 DataBar™ (RSS), an newer symbology that can be printed on a smaller label, which meets emerging market needs for a greater amount of data on a symbol guaranteeing investment protection.

The QuickScan L
The QuickScan L bar code reader is a bar code scanner with laser technology at an affordable price. The QuickScan L reader is the perfect solution for general purpose users who prefer laser scanning technology and need to read bar codes at nominal distances

This scanner is lightweight and small with an ergonomic form factor which provides the user with ease of scanning during daily operations. Used in retail and office application environments, the QuickScan L reader provides a snappy scanning performance and is capable of reading a wide range of bar codes including the majority of 1D and GS1 DataBar™ codes (previously known as RSS).

The wider than usual scan angle allows users to read a longer bar code from a shorter distance. The gun shaped ergonomic design fits most users’ hands comfortably and the scanner only weighs 128 gr / 4.5 oz (without the cable). The QuickScan L reader has been designed with durability in mind. It meets the IP42 sealing rating (against dust and liquid spills) and has a 1.5 m / 5 ft drop specification

This scanner also has a greater than 1 million duty cycle trigger specification as well as sustainable 20 kV of Electro Static Discharge (ESD). These are the best class specifications of any product on the market. One of the most vulnerable features of any scanner is damage to the scanner window

When such incidents happen, the scanner may have to be replaced. The QuickScan L reader was specially designed so that the end user can order a replacement window pack and replace the damaged window without having to send the scanner in for repairs.
